Happy New Year!  Hopefully you had a great holiday. 
For the next two weeks, we will be writing a legend.  This will include brainstorming, storyboarding, writing a script, and podcasting it with pictures.
You will accomplish this if you work hard in class.  If not, it will become homework.  It will be worth 30% of your writing grade for Report 2.
Have fun creating your own unique legend.

Read 3 legends

Write in your journal, 5 characteristics of legends.

Brainstorm problems that characters in your legend could have and write them in your journal.
ie. selfishness, bullying, hunger, homeless,

Brainstorm a lesson learned from the solution of the problem. 
ie.  Wanting more, loses everything
Check out all the alternatives, before making a decision.
Slow and steady wins the race.
