Where did January go?? We are full swing into February! Get ready for a busy but short month!!

Math

We are in to our multiplication tables!! Please practice every night so your child remembers them. This makes their math practice so much easier. We are focusing on two digit multiplied by one digit. Every morning we do minute math. The students will complete 10 questions covering basic math concepts.

Science

We just finished our Lights and Shadows unit. The students had a blast learning about the sun, shadows, lenses, and Roy G. Biv. Ask them all about it!! Hope everyone is busy working on their science fair projects!!

Spelling

Spelling test will be every Thursday. Spelling words will go home on Monday in your child's planner. Please help them practice their words throughout the week. We have moved our spelling word list up to 15 from 10. A little more challenging for everyone.

Language

We are working on many different fun Christmas writing projects which include; a letter to Santa, fun phrases to create a Christmas Tree, and a story about a little elf. These will all be in your child's year end book for you to enjoy.

Reminders

We will have our Valentine Party on Tuesday, February 14th for the last hour of the day. Science Fair projects may be set up on Wednesday morning from 8-9 in the large gym.
